The lap
Edelsee Lakeside runs round the lake: a start straight along the south shore, a tight right at the village, sweepers up the east shore, a long fast run along the north shore, a chicane under the castle and a tight left onto the shore road home. The road is fifteen to twenty-one metres wide with four metres of gravel to the rail, which makes it the kindest of the 2.55 circuits and a good one to learn the faster cars on. The sweepers are the lap; the two tight corners are where it is won.
Corner by corner
- Start and finish on the south shore straight.
- The tight right at the village.
- Sweepers up the east shore.
- The long fast run along the north shore.
- The chicane under the castle.
- The tight left onto the shore road.
- The shore road home.
How to drive it
- Keep the car loaded through the east-shore sweepers; a lift mid-corner unsettles it more than a steady throttle.
- The castle chicane is the pass. Brake at the boards, take the inside of the first part and the exit is yours.
- The village right is slower than it looks. Go in a gear lower than you want to.
Race it
Edelsee Lakeside unlocks in the career for 16,000 crew cash, earned from race prizes. Once it is yours it can turn up in the championship and in the Daily Challenge, where a wet day means less grip. Your best lap here goes to its own Game Center board, and any lap can be sent to a friend as a ghost.
